Where You Are Now
You shop often, and you shop carefully. You fill the cart, and then you close the tab unsure.
Half of what you order goes back. Some of what you keep hangs in your closet with the tags still on, because you could tell you liked it and you could not tell whether it would work for your actual life.
And you shop the same few stores, because those are the ones you have figured out. You know how their medium runs and which of their pants sit right on you. So your closet fills with variations on the same silhouette in different colors, and your style keeps arriving looking like more of the same.
What you have been missing is a trained eye beside you, in the moment, telling you why this one is right and why that one will hang untouched.
What to Expect
The Shopping Suite is a small live session. Eight women maximum, one store, ninety minutes, with me on the call the whole time.
We open with my picks from that store and the reasoning behind each one, so you see how a stylist decides. Fabric, construction, cut, and what actually makes a piece worth your money.
Then we shop the store together. When something catches your attention, you raise your hand, put it on the screen, and we talk it through. Whether it is right for you, how you would wear it, what it pairs with. Every woman in the room learns from everyone else.
Every session features a different store, which is how your four go-to brands becomes six.
You leave with pieces in your cart you are sure about and a sharper understanding on why they work, so the next time you shop without me the answers come faster.
This Session's Store
Evereve
I picked Evereve because it is one store carrying more than 150 labels, and because most women I talk to have either never heard of it or have walked past one without going in.
It was started in 2004 by a woman who left a department store dressing room in tears and decided to build something better. Twenty years later it is the best denim room I know at this price. Fourteen premium denim brands under one roof, in every rise and every leg shape being made right now, and several of them cut for a fuller hip rather than graded up from a straight pattern and wished well.
The rest of the fall floor is strong too. Leather and boucle bombers, shackets, long vests and dusters, satin and lace in the tops, and enough texture that you can build something instead of buying another plain sweater.
One store, 150 brands. That is exactly the kind of room worth walking into with a stylist beside you.
What We Cover
How to read fabric and construction on sight
How to judge fit on screen before you buy
How to shop a store you have never tried without starting over on sizing and fit
How to tell, quickly, whether a piece earns a place in your closet
What is the result?
After ninety minutes in the Shopping Suite, you shop differently. You can look at a piece and tell whether it is right for you before you add it to your cart. You stop buying to figure it out and start buying because you already know.
The returns shrink. The closet improves with pieces you actually reach for. And the knowledge stays with you long after the session ends.
